Driver Responsibilities

Pre-Trip Inspection of Bus & Equipment before every trip
Report any problems with the equipment
Pick up Passengers (Students, Aides, Nurses, etc.)
Safely deliver them to school or home
Sweep bus and empty trash
Post-Trip Inspection of Bus & Equipment After every trip
Communication with parents/guardians regarding pick up/drop off times and locations
Annual Recertification Training from the State and County
Annual Department of Transportation Physical as required by federal law

FAQ

What’s the time commitment? Every route is different and we are flexible. Ideally every route has a morning and afternoon run, but the times do vary.
Are there oportunities for extra drive time? Field Trips, CBI (Community Based Involvment), Preschool, & summer school are optional when available.
Are all buses Special ED? No, for a variety of reasons not all of our buses transport Special Ed students.
What type of license is required? CDL class B or C with P & S endorsments.
Will you train me? Of Course! Training is provided, start to finish.
